Save the Date: Digital Media Summer Institute goes online in July

The Digital Media Summer Institute is a virtual immersive 4-day program aimed at the collaborative development of research projects. The event’s topics are varied and range from Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) to Computational Art, through Blockchain, Algogovernance, Machine Learning, Digital Fabrication, and Data Visualization, without ever forgetting the intersection between art and technology.

During four very intense days, a small group of doctoral students/researchers previously selected will have the unique opportunity to work on their projects under the watchful eye and guidance of top international researchers: Denisa Kera, Massimo Menichinelli, Pedro M. Cruz, and Sven Meyer.
To be held between 13 and 16 July, the event will also have lectures open to the public (the lectures have limited spaces and it is necessary to register in advance, except for the participants of the event, which have a guaranteed spot). In charge of the talks will be Ben Stopher, Denisa Kera, and Massimo Menichinelli.

This event is organized by the doctoral program in Digital Media, the result of a collaboration of more than 10 years between the University of Porto and the NOVA University of Lisbon, through NOVA FCSH and FCT.
