Between November 9th and 16th, 2020, during the 6th Edition of the Student Seminar of the Sociology Post-graduation Program of the University of São Paulo (PPGS-USP), will be held the third edition of the Festival and Exhibition of NUPEPA/ImaRgens ICNOVA/LAPS.
Creators of short films (lasting up to 10 minutes) and of essays or photographic sequences (from 8 to 12 photos organized in film or frames of 20 to 30 seconds) will be able to register their materials to run for one of the ten award certificates offered by a special jury and the public.
Creators of films and photographic sequences, whether or not linked to academic institutions, may enroll. However, the materials need to be relevant for sociological, social and/or humanistic reflection.

In 2019 prizes were distributed in eight categories at the first NUPEPA/ImaRgens Festival. Check here the list of awarded films last year.
There will be accepted films and photographic sequences produced from 2018 that have not been awarded in previous editions of the 1st and 2nd Festivals of NUPEPA.
Only 20 short films will be selected, and each short film can last up to 10 minutes; while the photographic sequences can contain up to 9 to 12 photos, but totaling 4 minutes of duration.

– Best Screenplay
– Best Filming Technique
– Best Edition
– Outstanding contribution to the debate in the arts and humanities
– Outstanding contribution to the sociological debate
– Audience Choice Award – for each thematic day of the show
– Best Movie
Categories for awarding Photographic Sequences:
– Best Photographic Sequence (Jury)
– Best Photographic Sequence (Public)
Symbolic prizes will be awarded by a special jury (to be announced soon) and the public.
