Applications for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA IF)

The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is June 1 and pre-selection of candidates to be hosted by ICNOVA will be announced on June 10.

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Postdoctoral Fellowships will be opened in the coming days, and, as in previous years, aims to support the mobility of researchers. ICNOVA is now accepting project proposals that fall within the scope of the activity of the centre’s research groups.

The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is June 1. Submissions must be sent simultaneously to tiagoquintanilha@fcsh.unl.pt and icnova@fcsh.unl.pt and are required to include the following documents: (1) a detailed CV showing the candidate’s academic background; (2) a brief motivation letter and (3) the title and abstract of the work plan framed in one of the five thematic areas of ICNOVA (Media and Journalism; Culture, Mediation and Arts; Strategic Communication and Decision-Making Processes; Performance and Cognition; and iNOVA Media Lab).

Each candidate must also suggest a potencial supervisor for their work plan, based on the center’s team of integrated researchers, which can be consulted here (https://www.icnova.fcsh.unl.pt/en/integrated-members/). If the candidate does not suggest a supervisor, it is up to the ICNOVA coordination team to select one who best fits the proposed plan.

The pre-selection of candidates to be hosted by ICNOVA will be announced on June 10. After this date, those selected must periodically deliver versions of the work proposals, in order to prove the development of the work plan until the end of the call – on September 14th. Failure to periodically deliver materials that prove proposal development will result in the exclusion of ICNOVA as a host unit.

During the month of July (date to be confirmed) each work plan accepted by ICNOVA will be discussed in a public session by a researcher of merit chosen by the ICNOVA coordination team.

This initiative aims to ensure that each proposal received by the centre benefits from the best possible monitoring in the programme. ICNOVA’s scientific management team will follow up on all processes and applications and is available to clarify any doubts.
