Schools against fake news for a cooler future (SchoolFan)

Apresentação

Our mission is to empower teachers in Portugal, Spain, France, and Greece to combat climate-related misinformation. Through an innovative citizen science approach, we aim to enhance digital, scientific, and citizenship skills among secondary school students. By developing scalable educational resources and training programs, we strive to foster a deeper understanding of climate change and promote critical thinking. Ultimately, our goal is to create a more informed and responsible future generation.

The objectives of SchoolFan are to:
– Empower teachers in 4 European countries: Portugal, Spain, France and Greece to apply an innovative citizen science project in their secondary school classrooms to report, analyse and debunk fake news related to climate change.
– Foster secondary students’ digital, scientific and citizenship competences.
– Develop a scalable citizen science model that can be replicated in other contexts.
